Review: The Five Year Engagement (2012)
Posted On 27 Apr 2012 By Bartleby. Under 1.5 Stars (Insignificant), By Genre, By Star Rating, Comedy, Reviews, Romance, Romantic Comedy.
Mobsters Rating: If the job was to simulate the real feelings of impatience and frustration that come along with hesitant couples dancing around marital consecration, then The Five Year Engagement succeeds. If the Judd Apatow-produced comedy was trying for anything else—like a relatable, quick-witted romp with likable characters and a sweet ... Read More

Review: Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011)
Posted On 29 Jun 2011 By Bartleby. Under 1.5 Stars (Insignificant), 2011, Action, Action-Adventure, By Genre, Fantasy, Reviews, Science Fiction.
Mobsters Rating: Transformers: Dark of the Moon may be the ultimate Michael Bay movie. Featuring skull-rattling action sequences, state-of-the-art special effects, over-heated set pieces and a severe lack of anything pretending to be intelligence or modesty, Transformers 3 comes off like a hyperactive kid’s afternoon playtime; a golden-age alien invasion ... Review: Your Highness (2011)
Posted On 08 Apr 2011 By Bartleby. Under 1.5 Stars (Insignificant), 2011, Action, Action-Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy, Reviews.
Mobster Rating: David Gordon Green, where have ye gone? Once the most promising and inspiring of indie filmmakers, directing such poignant American vignettes as George Washington, Undertow, and All the Real Girls, Green has lately turned over to crass stoner comedies. While that artistic about-face paid off with 2008’s Pineapple ... Read More

Movie Review: Drive Angry 3D (2011)

Cage and the Hairpiece bust out of Hell is this slapdash mix of faux Grindhouse trinkets. It's insane of course, but is it worth the admission price to see the Cagester sipping beer out of an enemie's cracked skull? I'll leave that to you.

Dominic Sena’s Season of the Witch features Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman as ex-Crusaders fighting their way across medieval Europe through all manner of zombies, devil dogs and gargoyles to deliver a suspected witch to a monastery. That is a bad movie is not surprising. To find, however, that it ... Read More

Skyline is the train wreck everyone says it is, and if you have that feeling in your gut you're going to be disappointed, follow that instinct. If you're like me though and enjoy insanely bad movies, it may be worth a watch despite what your conscience tries to tell you.

At 80 minutes, The Last Rites of Ransom Pride is all style over substance, and the style isn't even that great.
