It looks like Mel Gibson will not be getting his comeback in The Hangover 2! Liam Neeson will be stepping in to fill the cameo void after the cast and crew objected to Mel Gibson playing an over-the-top tattoo artist. With Unknown looking like a sure hit for Neeson, Todd Phillips nabbed him to shoot the cameo.
I may catch hell for saying this, but I am still a fan on Mel Gibson. I am in no way condoning his actions, simply recognizing his cinematic contributions. Hollywood loves a comeback story, it just looks like Mel’s wont be on this film.
What are your thoughts about this news? Do you think Mel Gibson will make a comeback?
I was more interested in a Mel cameo than a Liam Neeson one to be honest.

It would have been too easy to let Mel off the hook though so I think it’s the right decision. Gibson will eventually find his way back to the big screen but it might be a year or two before that happens…
