Even though The Walking Dead is not a movie it is pure awesomeness and deserving of sharing on Movie Mobsters! The Walking Dead will air on AMC in less than two weeks and in celebration of that here is a cool behind the scenes look at the work done by FX Specialist Greg Nicotero and KNB Effects on the show.
I have heard lots of great things from people that have already had a chance to watch the first two episodes of The Walking Dead. These pictures show the extreme lengths that the FX crew and the zombies had to go through before shooting a scene. I am sure they spent hours doing each person. In all my years loving zombies this is the best work since Romero’s films in my mind.
Be sure to visit for the hi resolution versions of the pictures and some cool information about their set visits and even a review of the show.
Are you excited to see The Walking Dead this Halloween? What is your favorite Zombie film?
Everything that I’ve seen of this show looks magnificent, and I’m absolutely thrilled that we’re finally getting a zombie serial. It’s about time– just seems like a surefire hit. Add in Nicotero and Darabont and it just gets better.
The comic this is based on, frankly, sucks, so there’s a ton of room for improvement. As long as we’re not getting a close-up shot of Rick shouting, “WE ARE THE WALKING DEAD!”, I think we’re in for a nice ride.
